The famous post dramatic piece of Heiner Müller reproduces the characters Hamlet and Ophelia with a new perspective. Our team searched about this political and philosophical play, and thought about the keywords : machine , reproduction, ryhthm and toxic masculine word.
After her graduation from Acting Department of Bilkent Universtiy, Ankara , Ebru Tartici Borchers moved to Germany and worked firstly as an assistent director in Berliner Ensemble and Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin. Since 2018 , she is a directing student in Salzburg at Mozarteum University. She is working as a director and drama translator in Germany, Austria and in Turkey.
The Team is a group of Mozarteum students. Ebru is a directing student, Darios, Laura and Carolina are acting students and Hanna is studying stage design. This project has been worked as a semester work in 2020, belonging to Postdramatic Semester. The play includes not only "The Hamletmaschine" of Heiner Müller, but also some texts from Donna Haraway, Franz Fanon, Jean Paul Sartre, Carolina Braun, Laura Kuhr and some interview. They are all have been collected and ordered by Ebru with the perspective of keyword what the Müllertext gave : machine, reproduction , ryhthm.
