Starting from the very well-known comedy, "The Seagull" written by Anton Pavlovici Cehov, the show is an iconic irony of the Cehov universe. The actors try to explain the emotional journey of the Cehov characters with detachment and humor. During the 70 minutes, intense feelings are revealed in which the actors end up confusing themselves with Cehov's characters, thus generating a unique approach to a perennial text. The result is a show in which the actors - third-year students in the Actor's Art specialization within the Department of Arts / University of Craiova - use Cehov's text as an opportunity to play with theatrical means and experiment, against realism, a staging (in lyrics) of an emblematic text.
The Arts Department of the Faculty of Letters - University of Craiova, specializes in creating and training professionals who will work in the fields of Theater and Performing Arts, Cinematography-Photography-Media or Music, able to adapt and integrate in the current cultural context, increasingly complex and constantly evolving.
